Charging Engineer


Key Responsibilities:

Participate in solution integration and deployment for 5G/4G Core systems in cloud-native environments, with a focus on Openstack, Aerospike (NoSQL), and containerized network functions (CNF/VNF).
Work on operational and configuration aspects of OCS (Online Charging System), PCRF (Policy and Charging Rules Function), DRA (Diameter Routing Agent), and associated call flows.
Perform troubleshooting, analysis, and problem-solving for 4G/5G core network issues, particularly involving SMF, PCF, NRF, and CHF in 5G, and EPC core in 4G.
Utilize cloud-native tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenStack to manage container platforms for network function virtualization.
Employ monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and Kibana for system performance analysis and diagnostics in cloud environments.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of core network elements with cloud platforms, including AWS/OpenStack.
Ensure effective deployment and integration of 4G/5G core solutions with strong knowledge of Diameter and HTTP2 protocols.
Maintain deep technical knowledge of 5G & 4G EPC (Evolved Packet Core) fundamentals and related communication technologies. Provide input for improving system reliability, scalability, and performance in live deployments.

Required Skills:

Linux & Cloud Platforms**: Proficiency in Linux, OpenStack, and cloud environments such as AWS.A erospike (NoSQL)**: Experience with Aerospike or similar NoSQL databases in cloud deployments.
Containerization**: Expertise in container platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes in cloud-native environments. Network Protocols**: Knowledge of Diameter and HTTP2 protocols for 4G/5G core network communication.
5G/4G Core Technologies**: Extensive experience with 5G core elements (SMF, PCF, NRF, CHF) and 4G EPC (Evolved Packet Core).OCS/PCRF/DRA**: In-depth understanding of OCS, PCRF, DRA systems, and their call flows in both 4G and 5G contexts.
Monitoring Tools**: Hands-on experience with Prometheus, Grafana, and Kibana for system monitoring and troubleshooting.
Troubleshooting & Problem Solving**: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex network issues.
Cloud & Virtualization**: Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, OpenStack, and working in virtualized environments (VNF/CNF).
5G & 4G Fundamentals**: Solid understanding of the fundamentals of 5G and 4G EPC networks, including architecture and data call flow.

Educational Qualification:


B.Tech. Preferably in Computer Science/ECE and a minimum of 5 years+ experience. Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
